The Gospel of the Kingdom
With his powerful word, God created the world as his good kingdom. He is to be magnified and enjoyed in everything. Conflict, alienation, guilt, death, and the ruin of our standing and state before God was a result of one man's disobedience to God and obedience to the voice of Satan. Rather than leaving us in death, despair, and brokenness, God graciously promised salvation through judgment (as Genesis 3:15) tells us). The rest of the Bible's story looks forward to the arrival of this promised human being who will reveal God, reconcile God and man, and rule over all creation.
2,000 years ago, a construction worker from northern Galilee announced that he was the promised prophet, priest, and king of Israel's Scriptures. His name was Jesus Christ. Indeed he was—and is—God himself dwelling among his people and calling everyone to repent and believe in the good news of his life, death, resurrection, ascension, and future return. It is through his one act of obedience that all those who trust and treasure him gain a right standing and nature before God. We hope that you will come under the rule and reign of this Christ as he proclaims victory by voluntarily drowning in his own blood for his people (John 10) and bringing them pleasures forevermore (Acts 2).
